December updates on the Presidential Search
The Presidential Search Committee (PSC) provides updates on the search for Mount Holyoke’s twentieth president, including the start of the interview phase and details about the evaluation process.
Dear members of the Mount Holyoke community,
As we approach the end of the semester, we want to share a few updates related to the search for the twentieth president of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå. The Presidential Search Committee (PSC) is committed to continuing to share relevant information with the community as the process unfolds.
We are well into a very exciting search process. After carefully reviewing profiles and cover letters from multiple prospective candidates, we transitioned to the interviewing phase. The selected candidates represent a diverse range of profiles and backgrounds, and we are evaluating them based on the six pillars outlined in the position profile:
- Develop a clear vision and chart the path forward.
- Elevate the profile and visibility of the College.
- Fortify the student experience and advance commitment to DEI.
- Build a culture of trust, clarity and transparency.
- Steward the College’s resources and extend fundraising success.
- Align the academic program with the College’s vision, market and resources.
Given the need for confidentiality, we do not expect candidates will engage with the campus community outside of the formal PSC interview process, and we are committed to maintaining candidate confidentiality until the process has concluded.
On behalf of the PSC, we thank you for your patience and support as we identify the next president of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå. We wish you all a happy and healthy new year.
Sincerely,
Mona Sutphen ’89
