Lynda Pickbourn is Associate Professor and Chair of Gender Studies at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå. Her research interests are in feminist economics and the political economy of development in Africa. She has published work on economic methodology and on issues related to gender and economic development in Africa, including aid effectiveness, women’s migration, informal employment and green industrial policy. Her work has appeared in journals such as Feminist Economics, Journal of Development Studies, Journal of International Development and World Development and in edited volumes, including the Handbook of Research Methods and Applications in Heterodox Economics. She is currently working on a book manuscript tentatively titled ‘Moving to Survive: Women Migrants and the Quest for Sustainable Development in Africa’. She is a member of the African Economic Research Consortium and serves on the boards of the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) and the Association for the Advancement of African Women Economists (AAAWE). She is also an Associate Editor of the journal Feminist Economics. A graduate of the University of Ghana, she earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
